Purpose of the Service
Wanees is intended exclusively to facilitate serious introductions for the purpose of lawful marriage (Nikah). The app may not be used for casual dating, entertainment, or any purpose that conflicts with Islamic principles or community values.
Eligibility
The app is intended exclusively for Muslim adults (18 years or older) seeking serious, lawful marriage, who are legally and religiously eligible to marry. You'll be asked to confirm your age when creating your profile, and we may apply additional store-level safeguards (such as Google Play's minor-protection features) to help prevent use by minors. Any account found not to meet these requirements will be terminated as soon as this is discovered.
Code of Conduct
All users must communicate respectfully and modestly. Harassment, offensive language, inappropriate content, impersonation, or any unethical behavior is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in a warning, a temporary restriction, or a permanent ban, depending on severity.
Islamic Guidelines
We encourage users to observe Islamic etiquette (adab) in their communication, maintain modesty, and respect appropriate boundaries. Involving a guardian (wali) or family at the appropriate stage of getting to know someone is encouraged to help ensure transparency and seriousness of intent.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is a trust (amanah) we take seriously. Users may not copy, share, or publish another user's personal data, photos, or conversations outside the app without their explicit consent. Violating this may result in immediate account suspension and potential legal liability.
Data Collection & Use
We collect and process a limited set of your data as needed to provide the service, improve matching quality, and keep the platform safe, as described in detail in our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to that collection and processing.
Accuracy of Information
You must provide accurate, up-to-date information, including your age, marital status, identity, and profile photo. Impersonation, misleading information, or using photos that aren't your own is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.
Safety & Responsibility
We work to keep the platform as safe as possible, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of what other users share or their intentions. You are responsible for exercising caution when interacting with others. We are not liable for interactions or outcomes that occur outside the app.
Monitoring & Moderation
We may review reported content, review photos and profile text before they become visible to others, and take appropriate action — including warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans — to enforce these Terms.
Reporting Violations
You can report inappropriate behavior or a suspicious user directly from within the app. All reports are reviewed by our team, and appropriate action is taken based on the nature of the violation. You can also block any user to stop them from contacting you or appearing in your results.
Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice in cases of serious violations, and anyone whose account is terminated for this reason may not create a new account without our explicit permission; we apply reasonable technical measures to limit this. You may also delete your account at any time from the app's settings — see our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled after deletion.
Payments & Subscriptions
Certain premium features require a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely through in-app purchase via the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current period through your Apple or Google account settings directly — not from within the app. Fees are non-refundable except as required by the relevant store's policies or applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not responsible for user conduct, the accuracy of information users provide, or any interactions or outcomes occurring outside the app.
Intellectual Property
All rights related to the Wanees app — including its name, logo, design, and app-provided content — belong to us and remain ours. Using the app does not grant you any right to copy, reproduce, or commercially use this content. You retain ownership of any content you create yourself (such as your profile photo and bio text), and by using the app you grant us a limited license to display that content within the app solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes, and continuing to use the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable local laws, in a manner consistent with the general principles of Islamic law.
