We built Wanees to be a space where every member puts their intention, values and faith first. Every part of the platform is designed to serve one clear goal: a serious marriage grounded in Islamic principles.
A clear, serious intention is required to join
Every member on Wanees states a clear intention of marriage when they sign up. Profiles are built around values, faith, family and life goals, and conversations only open after mutual interest between both sides.
Privacy is the foundation, not a feature
Your photos are hidden or blurred by default, and nobody sees them without your explicit permission, request by request. You also control who can see your profile and who can message you, and you can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time.
Every account is human-reviewed
Every new account passes automated screening and human review before it appears to any other member, and content rules are grounded in careful scholarly review that upholds seriousness and modesty.
Religious review of our content
Content on the Wanees blog dealing with Islamic rulings and guidelines is reviewed by Ustadh Al-Sayed Gamal Ismail and Dr. Heba Al-Sayed Al-Adl, to ensure it is accurate and religiously sound before publication.
Wanees in numbers
Over 50,000 members have joined Wanees so far, with a 4.9 average member rating and more than 100,000 messages exchanged between members on the platform — real figures drawn from the platform's actual usage.
Available now in the browser
Wanees is fully available today from a desktop or mobile browser, with nothing to install — sign-up, profile, matching and messaging. A mobile app for iOS and Android is in development and will work with the same account once it launches.
